Digital Scanner Camera

Camera Processor

Duplicators

This State-of-the-Art System Creates Two Images Simultaneously!

  • Conventional microfilm copy
  • Digital scan and/or compression of documents for storage and/or transmission with full application for Internet or Intranet

Product Profile Design

  • Document is moved onto the platen by an automatic document feeder.
  • The DMS 1200 photographs the document onto 16 mm microfilm, using strip or roll mode.
  • As document is moved off the platen by the document feeder, it passes over the focused area of the digital camera.
  • Camera sends image data to a digital framegrabber in the host PC.
  • Image is available to be viewed on-screen or stored to disc in various formats.

The camera is controlled by an operator using the PC keyboard and mouse. This user-interface allows the input of frame number and strip number information for annotating the film strip, as well as identification of information for the digital file. With the utilization of the optional EVS proprietary digital compression software technology (EIC), the document can be stored and/or transmitted at high speeds.
